Correct Use of Verbs: Does/Do
|
|
| Kitty dancing
|
Kitty and bowbow dancing
|
From the above sentences, we learn that does is used -
When the noun is in the singular, (Miss Kitty).
When the noun is in the plural (Miss Kitty and Bowbow).
We use do.
Similarly while answering a question with does,
we add 's' or 'es' to the verb,
(dances).
When we answer a question with do, we do
not add 's' or 'es' to the verb,
(dance).
