The Present Perfect Tense

Petu has written a letter.

Petu and Bowbow have brought their bats.

In the above sentence, the verbs has written and have brought say about that actions which have been completed in the present. These verbs are said to be in the Present Perfect Tense.

For the formation of the present perfect tense, we do the following:- present tense form of the verb has/have
+
the past participle of the verb

In the above sentences it is
1) has + written
2) have + brought

Remember, we use has in the case of singular nouns(Petu) and have in the case of plural nouns.(Petu and Bowbow)
